ABOUT US

ABOUT US

We are a non-denominational Christian church seeking to go back to the New Testament church in belief and practice in a modern day context. Undoubtedly God has created each and every one of us for a specific purpose. We believe that God has put together this church one person at a time. This page is dedicated to sharing who we are as a church and who we are as individuals. We want you to feel as welcome as possible. If you have any questions at all feel free to click here to reach out to us.

WHO WE ARE

We are an independent, non-denominational church that shares a rich heritage with over 17,500 other congregations world-wide known simply as the “Christian Churches/Churches of Christ.”  This family of churches originated from a movement begun in the early 19th Century that became known as the Stone-Campbell Reformation  (or the American   Restoration Movement).  The leaders of this movement sought to unify Christians under the authority of the Bible so that the world could be won to Christ.

WHAT WE DO

We are a growing community of Christ-followers who are seeking to live normal lives with an extraordinary purpose by restoring hope to the heart of our city one person at a time. We gather together every Sunday to sing, learn from the Word, celebrate in communion, and pray together. We also meet throughout the week in a variety of small groups and Bible studies. You are welcome to join us here on Sunday for worship or at some other point in the week in a small group.

OUR HISTORY

SMALL BEGINNINGS

The Christian Church of Litchfield started with a small group of people who came together out of a shared desire to create a different kind of church—a church that was not defined by a specific place or a specific gathering time, but by a group of people living out the truth of God’s Word by modeling grace and by loving and serving others. Part of our journey has included meeting in other church buildings, a hotel, and a school building.
